OUR FACTORY

We are not a production house. There is no line, no batch, no repeat order. Each piece is made from start to finish in our own workshop in Bangkok, Thailand, by hand, once. It is the only way a piece can honestly be called one of a kind — the moment a design can be run a second time, it isn't.

Quality control in a factory means finding the piece that differs from the others. We have no others.

Every piece we make is the first and the last of its kind, so it has to be right the first time. There is no second attempt to correct the first, no sample run to learn from, no tooling that has already proven itself on a hundred pieces before yours. The checking therefore happens continuously and by the person doing the work — the stone measured and seated by hand, the metal weighed and verified, every surface inspected under magnification before and after finishing.

A piece that isn't right does not become a second. It goes back to the bench, or it does not leave.

The stone comes first. We select the diamond or gemstone before there is a design. Its dimensions, its proportions, the direction its colour runs — these decide what the piece can become, not the other way round.

The mount is made to that stone. The seat, the prongs and the gallery are fabricated to its exact measurements. Change the stone by a tenth of a millimetre and nothing else in the world will fit it.

One pair of hands, start to finish. [The same craftsperson carries a piece from wax to final polish], so nothing is lost in a handover and one person answers for the result.

Then the design is retired. The piece is documented and closed. We will not make it again — not in another metal, not at another size, not for another client.

No production runs. No stock designs. No repeat orders. No two pieces alike.
